Forward on society: Our communities

Being a force for good in our communities

On 23rd February 2024, CCEP jointly completed the acquisition of CCBPI. Some information on this page will be updated in due course to reflect the addition of the Philippines to our business.

Throughout our markets, local communities face significant societal and environmental challenges. We are determined to make a positive difference in our local communities.

Many of our local communities face significant societal challenges, including high levels of inequality, youth unemployment and social exclusion. Many are also increasingly exposed to the most severe impacts of climate change, including extreme weather events, flooding and bushfires.

We are proud to have been closely connected to our communities for many generations – through our local production sites, the drivers who deliver our products or the employees who make and sell our drinks.

Through our community investment programmes and activities, we seek to make a lasting positive contribution within our local communities. We are committed to supporting grassroots community programmes and partnerships, investing in initiatives that promote inclusion and diversity, and equipping people from underrepresented groups with the skills, confidence and employability to succeed in life and employment.

We are also committed to helping protect our local environment through investment and volunteering. Our volunteering policy enables our employees to take part in a wide range of volunteering activities connected to our sustainability commitments, from litter clean up campaigns to charity fundraising events and skills-based volunteering.

Our actions support UN Sustainable Development Goal 1: No poverty,  Goal 4: Quality education and Goal 11: Sustainable cities and communities.

Thanks to Projekt: LokalLiebe’s donation, we were able to help people in need and provide clothing, sleeping bags and mats, fleece blankets, tents, food, drinks, masks and hygiene items.

Our commitments

  • Employee volunteering
  • Community support
Employee volunteering

We’ll expand the contribution we make to society by increasing our employee volunteering and supporting local community partnerships.

CCEP Employee volunteering 580x486 v3

Our employees play an important role in supporting our local community partnerships and volunteering their time to take part in a wide range of activities connected to our sustainability commitments, such as litter pick-ups, charity sports events or youth mentoring schemes.

We have a long-standing volunteering policy enabling all employees to use two paid working days every year volunteering for a charity or cause of their choice.

Community support

We’ll support initiatives which help young people gain the employability, skills and confidence they need to succeed.

CCEP Community support 580x486v2

We believe that everyone should be given the opportunity to fulfil their potential – whether it’s by gaining meaningful employment, learning a new skill or starting a business.

We focus our investments on local community partnerships, with a particular focus on initiatives which help young people from disadvantaged backgrounds gain the employability, skills and confidence they need to succeed.
