SUPPORTING LOCAL COMMUNITIES & SUSTAINABILITY COMMITMENTS

We’re determined to make a positive difference both in our workplaces and in our local communities.

CCEP Norway has been a partner of the Norwegian Red Cross for more than 20 years. In the last two years, we have provided substantial financial support to their youth activity centres across Norway and contributed to the development of work training activities. For example, employees in CCEP’s Hot Beverages team introduced young people to barista training and providing customer service, to give them essential skills for the workplace. We’ve also provided support to the Red Cross’ mental health “hotline” for young people to help prolong its opening hours during the COVID-19 pandemic. We also support programmes for social cohesion in the Lørenskog municipality, where we sponsor youth activities on a broad scale.

We want to grow our business in a way that manages our social and environmental impacts. In Norway, we use 100% recycled plastic in all our locally produced bottles and 96% of all plastic bottles and aluminium cans that we sell are collected through the nationwide deposit return system (DRS) and recycled so that we can use the material in new bottles and cans.

100% of the energy we use comes from renewable sources and we're looking to minimise our carbon footprint in a number of other ways. For example, the majority of our car fleet is electric or hybrid cars, and we have also reduced our water usage by more than 1 litre for every 1 litre of finished product since 2013.

OUR PEOPLE

Team winners

It’s important to us that our workforce feel engaged, and that CCEP is a place of inclusivity, diversity and where the safety and wellbeing of our people is a priority.

For example, we’re proud that our production facility in Norway won the CCEP Northern European Business Unit Supply Chain Safety Award for its record of four years without incident.

DID YOU KNOW?

URGE is a citrus flavoured drink that we only sell in Norway. It was launched in 1996 and is still growing in share and value year on year.

Our site in Tromsø doesn’t see the sun for around two months of the year. On the bright side, they see the sun all day and all night from mid-May to mid-July.

It has been said that the national ski jump arena, Holmenkollen, was designed based on the Coca-Cola contour bottle for the Winter Olympics in Oslo in 1952.

At CCEP Norway, we’re proud to be part of a company that values great service, great people and, of course, great beverages. This winning combination helps us deliver value for our customers and create even more choice for consumers – for example, since 2015, we have reduced the sugar across our portfolio by 26% and more than 80% of our new launches are sugar free.

With equal passion, we’re determined to do our bit by growing our business in a sustainable way – building a better shared future for people and the planet. We are determined to make a positive impact on our local communities and here in Norway we have been a proud partner to the Norwegian Red Cross for more than 20 years. Supporting them in creating safe meeting places and work training for young people across all of Norway.
