Our CCEP Meet The Markets series shines a spotlight on our great teams who support our customers. So far on our global tour we've been to Germany, New Zealand and Norway. For our next stop, we're headed back to the southern hemisphere to visit our colleagues down under - introducing Coca-Cola Europacific Partners Australia.

CCEP AUSTRALIA

We have a proud legacy in Australia, with our operations dating back to 1904. Even though we were not yet in the beverage industry, dramatic changes to our business over the next few decades would see us become one of the largest bottlers in the country, predominately led by the iconic drink, Coca-Cola.

Coca-Cola was introduced to Australians by American troops during the Second World War. The first Australian-made bottle rolled off the bottling lines in 1938 in Sydney and, by 1965, the brand was a household name. That same year we purchased Coca-Cola Bottlers Pty Ltd in Perth. And, as they say, the rest is history.

Today, we have more than 3,600 passionate employees that make, move and sell 29 non-alcoholic and 59 premium alcoholic brands. We have 15 manufacturing sites and our head office is in Sydney.

Serving more than 100,000 customers, from the west to the east coast of Australia, we provide drinks for every occasion, including some of the world’s most-loved beverages like Coca-Cola Trademark products, Fanta, Sprite and Monster, and local favourites including Kirks and Mount Franklin.

SUSTAINABILITY

We're taking action in areas that have a positive impact, and which our customers, stakeholders and employees want us to prioritise, including sustainable packaging; consumer wellbeing; energy and climate; and water stewardship.

We are targeting 100% renewable electricity purchased for our operations in Australia by 2025, helping us on our journey to reach net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2040.

In partnership with The Coca-Cola Company, we’ve reduced sugar in 27 products since 2015, including Fanta and Sprite, as well as giving consumers even more choice with low or no calorie product options.

We have proudly partnered with industry and government to fund a $45 million PET plastic recycling plant in Albury-Wodonga, New South Wales. It’s Australia’s largest PET plastic recycling facility and will increase the amount of locally sourced and recycled PET in Australia by two thirds.

A second plant in Altona, Victoria, is due to open in 2023 and, combined, the sites will have the capacity to recycle the equivalent of two billion PET beverage bottles each year.

COMMUNITIES

We’re committed to supporting the communities where CCEP operates. Since 2002, the Coca-Cola Australia Foundation (CCAF) – a joint initiative between CCEP Australia and The Coca-Cola Company Australia – has provided $17 million AUD to hundreds of organisations, creating a brighter, more sustainable future for Australians.

Our current flagship partners include Earthwatch and First Hand Solutions and Landcare Australia. Aligning with CCEP’s ambition to address the UN’s SDG 6 around ‘Clean Water and Sanitation’, Landcare’s program aims to regenerate farm dams and boosting water security across South Australia, New South Wales and Victoria.

The CCAF also funds community-based organisations via the Employee Connected Grants program. This year, the program will see 31 charities receive grants of up to $25,000 AUD each.
