Of all the emerging consumer shopping trends, one of the most notable is the influx of start-ups offering grocery and other products to consumers for home delivery within 30 minutes.

Soft drinks are some of the most popular products within this new channel and we were early in identifying the potential. In 2019, through our innovation engine CCEP Ventures, we invested in Kol, an on-demand beverage delivery service in Paris. Since then, we’ve developed partnerships with quick-commerce companies in Great Britain, Germany, Spain, Portugal and France.

Partnering with Getir, 60 of our products are now available for immediate delivery for consumers in London while Gorillas in Germany offers consumers in Berlin a choice of popular products like Coca-Cola and Fuze Tea. In Indonesia our products are available through quick commerce platforms like GrabMart and gomart.

While start-ups are driving a lot of the innovation in this area, we’re also working with existing grocery customers who are partnering with delivery companies like UberEats and Deliveroo, and customers who are building their own on-demand solutions like Ocado Zoom and Tesco Whoosh.

As ever, our focus is on working with our huge range of customers to get our great products to consumers - in whatever way works best for them.
