CCEP Indonesia Held Clean Up & Waste Education Actions with Desa Bestari Sumedang to Commamorate National Waste Awareness Day 2024

As a business actor, Coca-Cola Europacific Partners Indonesia (CCEP Indonesia), which has priorities and pillars in the environment, community, and society, also supports waste management activities. Carried out in the Guna Cipta High School area, Cimanggung District, Sumedang Regency, CCEP Indonesia carried out a Collaborative Clean Up program with Desa Bestari activists and Guna Cipta High School students as well as education in the form of workshops on collecting and sorting waste based on its type so that it remains economically valuable. This action was carried out on Friday, February 23 2024 in in commemorating the National Waste Awareness Day 2024.

Through the educational agenda and workshops, the Guna Cipta Foundation, students, and the surrounding community responded very well to the action to manage waste from the source. Collaborating with the GEMPA community, Bestari Cihanjuang Village Community, and Coca-Cola Forest Community, this activity was to increase awareness and concern for all students regarding the importance of reducing and sorting waste and its management efforts, which was attended by 50 high school students, ten teaching staff, as well as several CCEP Indonesia employee volunteers who were actively involved in it. This HPSN step is also a motivation for Guna Cipta High School in the process of moving towards an Adiwiyata School at the Sumedang Regency level towards a cultural environment where the Bestari Cihanjuang Village, assisted by CCEP Indonesia, is the companion. This 2024 HPSN activity produced 148 kg of waste consisting of 67 kg of inorganic waste and 81 kg of organic waste ranging from cardboard, plastic cups, plastic packaging and dry leaves.
