Frestea & Coca-Cola System Join Hands with Mahija Parahita Nusantara to Support Waste Collectors and Families

FRESTEA in partnership with Coca-Cola Europacific Partners Indonesia (CCEP Indonesia), Dynpack Asia, and Mahija Parahita Nusantara Foundation is celebrating Ramadan this year by creating a series of activities to excite consumers while supporting waste collector communities and disadvantaged families in 15 locations across Indonesia. The Ramadan activities will kick off on Wednesday, March 29 and continue until April 20, 2023.

"Each year, we aspire to be able to embrace the meaning of Ramadan, which is thankfulness, community, and compassion for those in need. We feel honored to be a part of Ramadan, the largest and most joyous moment in Indonesia. This year’s Ramadan initiative to serve waste collectors under the Mahija Parahita Nusantara Foundation is part of our commitment to support the community in Indonesia,” said Triyono Prijosoesilo, Director of Public Affairs, Communications and Sustainability of PT Coca-Cola Indonesia. 

This year's Ramadan initiative will include the distribution of over 6,000 Iftar meal packs, including beverages, during "Rabu and Jumat Berkah" (Good Wednesday and Friday), including over 750 packets of staple food, which will be shared with waste collectors and select families in North Sumatra, Java, and South Sulawesi. Staple food donation is also supported by Dynapack Asia-as a joint venture partner for Mahija Parahita Nusantara Foundation with CCEP Indonesia.

Lucia Karina, Public Affairs, Communications and Sustainability Director of CCEP Indonesia added, “Ramadan is a month that represents mercy, forgiveness, earning, and giving. At Coca-Cola System, we believe in the importance of giving back to society, and at Coca-Cola Europacific Partners (CCEP), we are committed to making a positive difference in both our workplaces and local communities. As part of this commitment, we are collaborating with the Mahija Parahita Nusantara Foundation, FRESTEA, Dynapack Asia, and Coca-Cola Europacific Partners Indonesia to distribute iftar and basic food packages. We believe in the power of togetherness and are always working hand in hand with our partners to support noble initiatives that bring smiles and happiness to the underprivileged. Our goal is to be a blessing to everyone involved, and we are proud to support this effort to help those in need during Ramadan.”

In addition to Ramadan activities, FRESTEA is also offering several consumer promotions throughout Ramadan:
