Coca-Cola Europacific Partners Indonesia (CCEP Indonesia) supports the Indonesian Ministry of Transportation and the Ministry of Education & Culture through a best practice sharing session in one of their program called Indonesia Youth Road Safety Warriors (IYRSW). IYRSW encourages efforts to improve the quality of human resources in the road safety field by implementing national road safety programs through partnerships between different sectors. It also provides multi-dimensional awareness programs for young motorists, focusing on motorcycle drivers that would ideally create positive safety outcomes for young people and other stakeholders.
This activity was held in the auditorium of CCEP Indonesia's Bekasi 2 Plant in West Cikarang (2/11) and participated by dozens of students from the Indonesian Land Transportation Polytechnic (PTDI) and Mercubuana University with their accompanying lecturers. They were welcomed by Ilman Sabri, Plant Operation Manager Bekasi 2. In his opening speech, he stated that CCEP Indonesia, as a company, always tries to help the government by providing examples, recommendations and solutions to improve public safety in Indonesia, including road safety. We have done it through policy compliance and complete attention to our employees, partners, advocacy, and safety management capacity building.
In the interactive sharingsession, our OHS team presented material related to road safety that all CCEP Indonesia employees carried out in their daily work and several programs to prevent work accidents.
"Indonesian Youth Road Safety Warriors (IYRSW) need to be supported. This activity emphasizes how we call on governments, civil society, academia, private sectors, and other stakeholders to integrate a security systems approach that prioritizes road safety as the main driver of sustainable development," said Nurlida Fatmikasari, Regional Corporate Affairs CCEP Indonesia.
"The implementation of safe driving in the non-automotive industry will provide a different and interesting point of view for young road safety fighters in understanding the context of road safety. Getting best practice sharing from CCEP Indonesia will enrich our information starting from the employee journey to work, on the work site, on the road/highway, until they return home safely," said Eko Reksodipuro, Director of IRSP Training and Campaign.
