Creative Scholarship for Students in Lampung

Coca-Cola Europacific Partner Indonesia (CCEP Indonesia) successfully held its Creative Scholarship program at the end of 2021 by selecting the 3 best students each from the junior high, high school, and college levels.

The program was organized collaboratively with the Executive Board of the South Lampung Press Union of the Republic of Indonesia (DPC-SPRI) and  Sukanegara Educator Forum. The awarding ceremony was held at Sukanegara Village Hall, Tanjung Bintang District, South Lampung Regency, on  December 15.

Lucky Riyadi, representing the Head of the Education Office, delivered written remarks from the Regent of South Lampung H. Nanang Ermanto. In his remarks, the Regent of South Lampung gave high appreciation and expressed his gratitude to all parties, who had initiated and carried out activities well. He specially appreciated CCEP Indonesia, DPC SPRI South Lampung, and Sukanegara Educator Forum, who successfully implemented the Creative Scholarship program for students, and at the same time initiated a writing competition which was participated by more than 100 students throughout South Lampung.

CCEP Indonesia has been carrying out the Creative Scholarship Program as their annual sustainable initiative since 2015, inviting children of residents around the Tanjung Bintang Industrial Estate, South Lampung. More than 100 participants who were netted passed the initial selection with the best academic achievement as a requirement given by the committee. Each participant passed the screening test, then took part in the second stage of selection. They were also required to do an independent test  judged by the Press Union of the Republic of Indonesia South Lampung, the Sukanegara Educator Forum, and the Lampung CSR Forum teams.

In his press statement, the Chair of the Sukanegara Educators Forum, Appendi stated that the creative scholarship program is a way to explore and develop innovative ideas, from the knowledge gained in schools and campuses. Every year, the Sukanegara Education Forum together with CCEP Indonesia try to deliver and encourage the spirit of learning for citizens to a higher education level.

In addition, the Chair of the South Lampung DPC SPRI, Zainal Arifin, stated that this activity was a form of their commitment to support the South Lampung Regency Government and CCEP Indonesia programs. They also commit to encourage the improvement of the quality of education, to participate in educating the nation's life in accordance with their role as media.
