Fiji Gold sponsors Suva Bowling Club Banana Cup

The first Banana Cup contest was held in 1954, which was won by C Corlis and R Brown. This trophy has since been played every year to date with a break in 2021 due to COVID-19.

The tournament attracts top bowlers who will be vying to win the cup which was defended by 2020 champions men’s pair, Semesa Naiseruvatu and Rajnesh Prasad as well as the women’s pair, Litia Tikoisuva and Doreen O’Connor.

Suva Bowling Club Manager, Ashwini Prakash, said having sponsors such as Paradise Beverages assists with their business.

“Sponsorship such as Paradise Beverages’ is always important to us as it helps us collaborate with new companies all the time and it helps us boost our business.”

Paradise Beverages Chief Financial Officer, Vinish Singh, said that Paradise strives to develop the community through various sponsorships.

The Fiji Gold Banana Cup tournament will be held at the Suva Bowling Club from September 17th to September 18th.
