Fiji’s leading beverages manufacturer, Paradise Beverages, continues its support of the ‘ Wearing Fiji – A Fashion Project’, as sponsors of their designer mentoring program.

Wearing Fiji co-founder, Samson Lee, said that they’re proud to partner with Paradise Beverages.

“Paradise Beverages belief in our project is key to creating spaces to exchange fashion knowledge. It means that our student designers are able to gain an insight into starting a fashion business and most importantly, drawing on the knowledge of Fiji’s established designers.” said Lee.

“Having sponsors such as Paradise Beverages enables us to be able to progress the work we’re doing with our up-and-coming designers. Without this kind of support, we may not have the ability to get the expertise or reach required to progress this work.”

Second year Wearing Fiji student designer, Litiana Vere, said Paradise Beverages invests in Fijian made.

“I'm excited to be back for the second year and having Fijian companies like Paradise Beverages back our labels by providing start up money for our brands, means they're investing in Fijian made,” says Vere.

Third year Wearing Fiji student designer, Shane Pickering said the program has provided an opportunity to explore his passion.

"The Wearing Fiji Project has given me a pathway to explore my passion but I think what's different is we have mentors, from designers to communications experts, to social media marketing, and as a 3rd year student of the program I can see the benefits,” says Pickering.

Paradise Beverages General Manager, Mike Spencer, said Paradise Beverages is delighted to continue its support in providing development opportunities for the students of the program.

" We’ve been a long-time partner of the fashion industry and this mentoring program has potential to create a higher performing fashion industry in Fiji that we’re proud to support,” Spencer said.

“We’ve always supported Fijian Made and have always had a strong focus on supporting and developing up-and-coming local talent whether that be in sport, music, arts or fashion, and will continue to do so.”

Wearing Fiji will take place on Saturday 10th September at the HFC Bank Stadium and all of the students’ collections will be on available at the Wearing Fiji Boutique for 3 months as part of their mentoring program.
