Michael Spencer

Mike Spencer was born in Leeds, England, emigrating to Australia in 1965. He was schooled in Canberra and holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Mech) from Sydney University.

Mr. Spencer’s career in the brewing and hospitality industries spans over 40 years.  Beginning in hospitality in the 1980's, Mr. Spencer managed restaurants and bars before accepting a role with Fosters, Australia's largest brewing company, in 1986 as a senior member of the brewing team. During his 17 years with Fosters, he held senior roles in Operations and Sales, including three years managing Fosters’ brewing operations in Fiji in the mid 90's (known as CBF or Carlton Brewery Fiji), and a two-year tenure as Head Brewer at Fosters largest brewery, situated in Melbourne.  After leaving Fosters, Mr. Spencer set up and ran a business for 10 years, designing and installing craft breweries in the Asia Pacific region.

Mr. Spencer is currently the General Manager of Paradise Beverages.

 Mr. Spencer holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree from Sydney University, is Member of the Institute of Brewing & Distilling and a Member of the Master Brewers Association of the Americas. He is also a Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, a Board Director of the Fiji Commerce and Employers Federation and the Immediate Past Chair of the Fiji Business Disaster Resilience Council.
