Food & Business Podcast talks to CCEP and Asahi Beverages about joining forces to boost the country’s transition to a truly circular economy.

At Coca-Cola Europacific Partners Australia we’re serious about closing the loop on plastic. In fact, we’re so passionate about this ambition that we’ve been working with government, community, partners and one of our major competitors – Asahi Beverages – to advance bottle to-bottle recycling in Australia as part of the Circular Plastics Australia (PET) Joint Venture.

Combining the expertise, resources, and leadership of Pact Group Holdings Ltd PACT, Cleanaway Waste Management, Asahi Beverages and CCEP, Circular Plastics Australia (PET) has invested in two state-of-the-art recycling facilities, allowing PET to be recycled here on Australian shores. This PET is turned into high-quality, food-grade recycled plastic resin that is manufactured into new packaging, like our 100% rPET bottles.

Kim Berry from Food & Drink Business, recently sat down with Lisa Rippon Lee, VP of Public Affairs, Communications and Sustainability at CCEP Australia, and Asahi Beverages’ John Tortora, for a deep dive on how the beverage industry’s biggest players have come together to advance bottle-to-bottle recycling.
