A Day in the Life: Meet Joshua Watene - Distribution Centre Team Member

At CCEP Australia, we make, move and sell some of the world's most-loved brands and the teams that work at our Distribution Centres around the country are critical to ensuring our 100,000+ customers get their orders in full and on time; particularly during busy peak periods, such as the Australian summer!
Meet Joshua
Josh is responsible for picking, packing and making sure our customer orders get out the door correctly and on time. Whether, pick-packing, high-reach or doing re-work, accuracy is key in Josh's role as it contributes towards the high standard of service we provide our customers.
His role involves physical work, which means safety is very important so that he and the team can get home to what they love.
There is strong camaraderie and the team is very committed to one another, Josh explains.
"The best thing about my role is the people. We all come from different walks of life, but everyone's welcome. It's an inclusive working environment and we all care about each other... The people are what keep me here from when my shift starts until my shift ends."
Josh has been with CCEP for more than four years and chose to work here because of the opportunities for personal and professional growth. During this time, he's challenged himself and done things that he never thought he was capable of.
Josh works the afternoon shift at our Eastern Creek DC which he loves as it gives him the flexibility he needs to nurture his personal passions, namely acting. The extra time he has available to him during standard business hours means he can make it to auditions.
