Partnering With Our Customer to Raise Much Needed Funds for Cancer Research, Treatment and Support

CCEP is delighted to be sponsoring the ‘Woolies Wheels & Walks’ event this year. The initiative is one of Woolworths’ biggest fundraising events and supports the Tour de Cure community, a national movement of people who walk, run, ride or swim while raising awareness and money for cancer research, support and prevention. Tour De Cure has helped raise more than $118 million, funding 979 cancer projects since it was introduced in 2007.

CCEP will be supporting this year’s ‘Woolies Wheels & Walks’ via a number of important initiatives, which total $100,000 in donations. These include sponsorship of The Ride, a 3 -day 350km ride from Port Stephens on the NSW mid North Coast to Woolworths’ Head Office at Bella Vista in Sydney (11-14 May) and The Walk, a series of 10km and 21km walks in capital cities across the country (14-31 May). CCEP is proud to be the official hydration partner across all events.

Excitingly, CCEP’s very own Scott Larkham, State Execution Manager and Diana Na, Go To Market Manager, Woolworths will be participating in the HUGE 350km ride!

Diana Na said Woolies Wheels and Walks is a wonderful opportunity to connect with our valued customer in support of a great cause.

“Cancer is something that is so cruel and has a devastating effect for not only those that have it, but also for family and friends.  Let’s do what we can to raise funds for cancer research, every little bit helps and at the same time test our physical capabilities. I’m looking forward to the event!”

Scott Larkham similarly said:

“Tour De Cure fundraises for continued research into cancer treatments and potential cures and if participating in the Wheels and Walk can support that fundraising even further, then let’s make it happen.”
