CCEP Technicans Affiliate to IEPNG v2

Coca-Cola Europacific Partners PNG (CCEP PNG) are proud to be the first fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) business to affiliate to the Institute of Engineers PNG (IEPNG).

In a small ceremony this week, twelve employees from the Manufacturing Team received their IEPNG affiliation certificates which was massive achievement for the individuals that participated.

CCEP PNG’s Head of People & Culture Adlyn Nagwi said CCEP PNG’s success is built on great people therefore it is important to continue exploring and providing career & growth opportunities that unlocks that potential.

“This affiliation given to our maintenance employees now opens doors to different career path opportunities particularly for those that have received a diploma or trades certificate qualification.”

Nagwi said CCEP is committed in providing training programs that will upskill and build capacity within its workforce.

IEPNG’s Chief Executive Officer Mick Benedict congratulated the CCEP technicians on completing the Competency Based Assessment (CBA) enabling full membership to IEPNG.

This marks a significant milestone, notably as Coca Cola Euro Pacific Partners (PNG) supports its employees to be registered as engineering professionals in PNG for the first time, adhering to the Professional Engineers Registration Act's legal requirements.

The CBA is a rigorous evaluation ensuring professionals meet industry standards. It assesses technical expertise, ethical conduct, and professional demeanour, essential for engineering practice in PNG.

IEPNG currently has accreditation of engineering programs at the University of Technology as well as engineering programs provided at the Lae Polytechnic College.

The PNG University of Technology provides world-class education, preparing graduates to excel in their fields of Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and Mining engineering. Its engineering programs' accreditation to the Washington Accord signifies international recognition, ensuring academic excellence and global mobility for graduates.

Lae Polytechnic College plays a vital role in engineering education. Accreditation of its programs ensures quality training, aligning with industry demands and enhancing graduates' employability.

As a leading manufacturer and distributor of PNG made soft drink beverages in the country, CCEP PNG continues to invest in its people and are proud to be helping over 19,000 customers across the country grow their businesses.
