This year, we're celebrating the 60th anniversary of Grinders Coffee Roasters in Australia.

Giancarlo Gusti brought his passion for espresso to Australia in 1962, opening a small and homely café on Lygon Street, Melbourne. Café culture thrived in this lively and bustling Italian precinct – often referred to as the city’s ‘Little Italy’ – and so too did Giancarlo’s café. 

60 years later and the Grinders legacy well-and-truly continues to thrive. From a single storefront, Grinders has grown to become a trusted, quality roaster, with brews served in cafes, restaurants, as well as homes across Australia. 

Not only does Grinders source, blend, roast and deliver the best single origin and blended coffees in Australia – it does so sustainably. Grinders cares about the way its beans travel from crop to café to minimise its footprint on the world and secure the future of coffee.
